GPObright is a proprietary lens coating which maximizes light transmission. This is a vacuum coating applied to our high performance lenses which allows 99.7% of the available light to pass through each optical surface. This means the total light transmission for GPO products can exceed 92% making them “bright” even in the lowest light conditions.
The rest of the esteemed European optic manufacturers match the quality found in GPO products. European optics have a longstanding reputation for crafting some of the most exceptional optical instruments globally. Nonetheless, GPO products stand out by not only offering a caliber of quality that matches its counterparts, but also by presenting a significantly superior price-performance ratio. In essence, GPO delivers and markets optics of comparable excellence and technical attributes, all while maintaining a more affordable price point. Moreover, our lifetime warranty ranks among the most highly regarded within the industry.

Both the ED and HD binoculars are excellent performers in their respective price range; however, the HD model offers a few more advantages over the ED’s. As you would expect, the HD’s are optically near perfect – spectacular color contrast and crisp resolution, not just in the center but edge to edge as well, and the objective lenses are made with a double laminated HD glass element that compares with other European brands with a price tag that’s more than twice the price of our HD’s. Other premium features in the HD binoculars include the locking diopter, eyecups and the overall fit and finish that are industry bests. Although the ED binoculars are tough and have excellent quality, the tolerances are not as tight as with the HD models.
GPO HD binoculars are equal in quality and performance with every high end binocular on the market.
Yes, with one exception. The 50mm RANGEGUIDES(rangefinder binoculars) are not compatible with a threaded tripod adaptor. However, we do have a cradle that works great. Here is the link: Cradle & Strap Universal Binocular Tripod Adapter | GPO USA (gpo-usa.com)
All other binoculars work with a tripod adaptor
The Spectra binocular is a slightly downgraded product from the Passion ED. We use a slightly lower cost lens system in the SPECTAR, so the ED lens system assists in minimizing optical reflections and chromatic color variances slightly more than the SPECTRA.
All of our scopes are using high transmission GPObright lens coatings with high-transmission glass. They are all low light scopes.
Please review the link to the measurement chart attached. You can select the model you like and then reference the chart to determine if their scope of choice falls into the measurement range.

We build our scopes to 1000g shock testing, well within the recoil given by lightweight mags where scopes take beatings.
The main reticle in these scopes is etched glass, unbreakable unless the scope is crushed.
The illumination in SPECTRA scopes is a micro fiber optic tube, chemically attached to the glass etched reticle, with the emitting end of the fiber optic tube cut at a 45 degree angle to face the shooter and aligned with the center of the cross reticle. It can’t be broken.
The electronics are purchased in Germany and are considered technically the best in the market.
These scopes will hold any recoil you can throw at them.
All design, engineering and quality control is completed in Germany. We use components purchased from Germany, Japan and the Philippines and then outsource the final assembly to Japan, the Philippines and China
Afterwards, all products are returned to Germany for 100% QC prior to be sent out to GPO branches.
Regarding Warranty, GPO, USA has executed a warranty “Spectacular Lifetime Warranty”. Details of that warranty can be found at:

In summary, if ever your item does not function perfectly, whether your horse steps on it or it breaks by itself, GPO, USA will repair or replace (from our Richmond, VA headquarters) that item, at no charge, forever. 100% transferable. This warranty is better than any in the industry since GPO takes it a step further, authorizing retailers to service their customers by replacing a non-functioning item instantly. Warranties are expensive to execute, but our return rate is substantially lower since we hand inspect every item before it’s sold.
The eye relief on these scopes is constant. At higher magnification exit pupil does decrease in size, completely normal with all riflescopes, so your eye position within the eye-box will have to be centered at high power.
The the warranty of our electronics is 5 years. However, our electronic circuits are built and purchased in Germany, they are the most durable and advanced circuitry in the industry.
We are 100% customer focused and we know that 1 unhappy customer tells 10. We won’t let this happen. If you have any issue with your electronics after 5 years, we will find a way to keep you a happy supportive customer.
Yes, we have two first focal plane scopes and one second focal plane. All three are 4.5-27×50. The FFP are 34mm tubes and the SFP is a 30mm, MOA scope. Each box comes with instructions on how to operate the turret. >> can we get this on the website?>>
